We welcome you to Kenya at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and after a brief meet-and-greet session, we then transfer you to your city hotel – Ole Sereni (or a similar hotel facility) for check-in on a bed-and-breakfast basis and overnight stay at leisure. This is a typical Country Hotel set conveniently on the eastern side of Nairobi between the airport and the ultra-modern city centre.

We pick you after your breakfast from the hotel at 0800Hrs and after a short briefing depart eastwards via Mtito and Voi towns where you can have convenient stops, to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a privately owned Game Ranch which is roughly 380 KM away. We arrive at The Taita Hills Lodge in time for lunch, a short rest and a subsequent afternoon game drive. This Sanctuary is a host of wide array of wildlife including the occasional leopard, cape buffalo, lion, antelopes and zebra. The Sanctuary also boasts to host over 300 types of birds. We drive back to the lodge early in the evening for dinner and a special overnight where one can view wildlife on spot lit waterholes from the comfort of their rooms’ balconies.

We wake up for an early morning game drive where we might chance to see at close range huge herds of elephant including those that migrate within the corridors of the massive world-famous Tsavo East and West National Parks, and then go back to the lodge for a late morning breakfast and check-out. We then depart the lodge with an enroute game drive and later check into Salt Lick Lodge in time for lunch and an afternoon rest which will give us an experience of the Nyika plateau’s cool afternoon breeze from our raised on-stilts room balconies while chancing to view the wildlife that visit the watering holes below. These special moments also give us a time to view and reflect on the artistically dotted Taita Hills (including the nearby Sagala massive) amid the gently rolling landscape within our mental serenity. In the evening we retire for dinner and overnight.

After an early morning game drive, we go back to the lodge for breakfast and then check out of the lodge with a last game drive enroute as we depart the Sanctuary. Lunch is taken on the way in Voi Town and then we drive back to Nairobi airport to signal end of our safari.
